La Casetta dei Fichi

The Casetta is located on the first floor of the eastern building, rebuilt in 2017. It was previously a storehouse for equipment and tools, and for the summer season requirements of the family members. Here, the guests can enjoy every opportunity to experience the comfort of the house, and give into the temptation to taste the figs growing on the two huge trees alongside, which give the Casetta its name. Ideal for a couple, with children too, who want to spend their holiday enjoying peace and comfort, and the wide outdoor spaces.

From the car park, a slope and stone path lead to the steps at the front of the building, from which to access the front terrace, in Aeolian style with its ‘bisuoli’ (wall seating), ‘pulere’ (columns), and thatched roof, table, chairs and sunbeds, and from where to enjoy the beautiful, panoramic view to the east of the islands of Panarea and Stromboli. The entrance from the terrace leads into the living room, with sofa bed and kitchen area, with bedroom to the left and bathroom to the right. The living room has a small balcony, with a superb view of sea and sky.
The second entrance to the property is via the Tre Pietre lane alongside the property, passing along the path behind, also beautifully planted with Mediterranean species. Access to the property is via a wide rear terrace, also in Aeolian style with its ‘bisuoli’ (wall seating), ‘pulere’ (columns), and thatched roof, with sunbeds from where to enjoy the beautiful, panoramic view of vineyards and the Fossa delle Felci mountain.

The Casetta and terraces are paved with precious Sicilian terracotta, treated to protect it, with a natural surface. The Casetta is surrounded by the garden with areas for sunbeds and for reading, outdoor showers, the laundry and other facilities. Close to the Casetta are bars, restaurants, a supermarket, petrol station, pharmacy, health centre, car and scooter hire, boat hire, cash machine, post office.
